Bakewell GAMES 24, where to start?

When ‘Frankie Goes To Hollywood,’ sang

They were obviously predicting FITISM Games 24!

‍

The definition of Tribe is as follows;

“A group of people, families or clans (our amazing clients) forming a close-knit community with a common culture (FITISM) and dialect (Win at all cost), typically unified under a recognised leader/leaders (Captain and Vice Captains)

‍

Let me introduce you briefly to our Two Tribes:

In the red corner - HIIT Me Baby One More Time, Captained by Jamie (Big Dog,Young Pup) Mayson and Vice Captained by JM Bellas.

In the blue corner - Peak Power Players, Captained by Pete (The Umpire) Robinson and Vice Captained by Nina Valli.

After four weeks of these titans going head to head, with every Ski-erg being emptied of calories, every muscle fibre being emptied of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), every Rower exhausted and every single part of the Peak District being explored (mainly by Captain Pete), the scores couldn’t have been any closer going into Games day.

With a very narrow lead the Peak Power Players started Games day with it all to lose. On the other hand HIIT Me Baby One More Time had it all to play for, and after six rounds of exhausting competition, it all came down to the infamous “Chain Reaction”.

At this point the two teams were separated by only 30 points with 50 to play for, it was going to come down to one final show down. The scene was set, the gladiators ready and with the eyes of the world (friends and family) firmly locked onto the arena, came the words “5,4,3,2,1,Go!” And the rest as they say is history. HIIT Me Baby One More Time had done it, clutching overall victory out of the jaws of defeat, winning the day by the narrowest of margins (10 meters), the Peak Power Players had come up short by the smallest of margins but finished the event with true team spirit, pushing the prowler as a team over the finish line.

They say not all heroes wear capes, in this instance it’s true, for our Games hero was rocking her finest pig-tails and Britney esk school uniform. Congratulations to Diane Knowles from HIIT Me Baby One More Time. Diane has been mega over the last four weeks, she’s been committed, supportive, enthusiastic and above all 100% a team player. Well done!
